CLASS DESCRIPTIONS


DANCE ZONE

Ballet NEXT
Kick off your shoes & let your hair down! This non-conservative Ballet class was created for those who always wanted to take ballet but were too intimidated and for those who just need a change. Done to r&b, rap, pop and everything in between! Includes a pilates style floor barre and a strong focus on technique. Great for toning, core strength, flexibility, coordination & control.

LA Street Jazz - Intermediate
This is a Jazz and Hip-hop fusion with clean lines and high energy leaps and turns. This class is perfect for the dance team dancer past, present or future. Some formations and lots of floor work may be incorporated and NOTHING is off limits!

Street Jazz Intro
Same format as the Intermediate class starting with a simplified warm up, stretch and across the floor technique and finishing with a fun and easy to learn dance routine that will make you feel like you're in a music video.

Contemporary
Post-modern/lyrical technique and creative release. This class explores the control, isolations and emotive artistry that have been made famous on So You Think You Can Dance by choreographers like Mia Michaels and Travis Wall!

Hip-hop - Intermediate
From grungy gangster hip-hop to feminine, sexy girl-hop with all the attitude of SYTYCD & America's Best dance crew, this class will challenge your mind and body with intricate isolations and transitions. Depending on who's teaching and whose attending, routines may also include crumpin', lockin', poppin'..etc.

Hip-hop Intro
Wanna dance like Usher and Ciara but dancing in the mirror's getting you no where? Come to the Dance Zone and learn some simple combinations that will make you feel like you're a backup dancer in a music video.

Breakin'
Experience the exhilarating B-boy/B-girl culture from start to finish..new students will learn: a brief history and evolution as well as strength exercises, freezes, footwork basics, facials, battle skills and more!


FITNESS ZONE

Xtreme Abs & Backs
As seen on KEYE's 42-second workout segment! LIZ's Award Winning 15-minute abs & back routine (combined with cardio and a healthy diet)will help you get that strength and tone you never thought you'd have just in time for swimsuit season!

Cardio JAMZ
This 5 time (Gold's Gym) award-winning class begins with LIZ's amazing Abs n back routine and continues with 45 minutes of cardio to help you chisel out those abs! You'll get the cardio you need to remove the excess fat layer that's hiding them while you're dancing to great music and learning new dance moves and fun and simple cardio-dance combos you can teach to your friends.

NightClub Cardio
Let your inhibitions go! If you hate working out but your friends can't pull you of the dance floor this class is for you! We've created a nightclub environment complete with club lighting so you can gyrate under cover of darkness. You'll get a cardio workout you won't believe and moves that'll make heads turn....we may even bust out a sexy chair routine!
